Jury, Upper Divisional Exam, and Ensemble Audition Procedures

Both students and faculty start at this page to use the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music paper-free jury and ensemble audition system. All students and faculty must have user accounts to use the system.

Instructions for students

For Juries and Ensemble Auditions:

Start by creating a user account here or by selecting "Register" from the login link in the login module to your right. Please use your @memphis.edu email address and your first and last names as you are known to your applied teacher. The password can be anything you choose, as long as it is at least 6 characters long and contains only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9. You may also use a Google, Facebook or Twitter account to login.

For Ensemble Auditions:

  1. Log in to your account if you have not already done so.
  2. Select "Scheduling—>Book a Time" from the main menu.
  3. Fill in all the required fields and follow the prompts to indicate your instrument and select a day and time for your audition. The day of your audition is shown above the form and that day is the only one that can be selected on the calendar popup.
  4. Select a time for your audition from the "Select a Time" menu. No further action is necessary unless you need to adjust your time.
  5. You will receive an email confirmation of your time. That email will also have a "Cancel Code" that you can use to cancel the booking if you need to change it.

For Juries Only:

To create and submit a Repertoire Record:

  1. Log in to your account if you have not already done so.
  2. Select "Rep Records" from the main menu.
  3. Click "New" to start a new document, or if you wish to edit one you have already created, click "Edit."
  4. Fill in the fields as indicated. If your applied teacher is not shown on the dropdown select, please contact him or her and ask that s/he create a user account on the system and notify dhphllps@gmail of that action.
  5. When finished, click "Save and Close."

If you wish to edit a document already created, follow steps 1 and 2, then click on the Title, to reopen your record for editing. Be sure to click "Save" when finished.

To sign up for a jury time:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Select "Booking—>Book a Time" from the main menu.
  3. Choose the day you wish to play your jury by clicking the date on the calendar. Use the << and >> arrows to move forward or back in the calendar if necessary.
  4. Choose the type of performance you are giving: a regular 10 minute jury or a 20 minute upper divisional exam.
  5. Click a button to select the time you wish to play.
  6. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Book Now."
  7. You will see a confirmation screen. You will also receive a confirmation email with your chosen day and time.

If for any reason, you need to change a jury time for which you've already signed up, log in, choose "Edit a Booking" and click the small calendar icon under the "Actions" heading, then go back to "Book It-->Book a Time" to select a new time from those still available.
